This event is modeled on "Science Olympiad's" "Mission Possible" in division B (middle school)

Summary:

The main idea in this event is to build a Rube Goldberg machine which is a series of required events:

    1. Specs
      1. Maximum volume is 1m x 1m x 1m (ALL PARTS must fit inside this dimension)
      2. max 9 volts (is using electricity)
      3. no lighting flammable liquids 
    2. project started by a falling 500 coin (required) and final event must be popping a balloon (required)
    3. includes levers (maximum 1 of each kind will receive points, though you may use additional levers)
      1. 1st class lever (5 points)
      2. 2nd class lever (5 points)
      3. 3rd class lever (5 points) 
    4. lifts a mass (5 points for 50 g, 10 points for 100 g) more than 20 cm (10 points)
    5. ultimately pops a balloon (team brings own balloons) (5 points)
    6. additional points for:
      1. using chemical energy (10 points)
      2. using hydraulic force (25 points)
      3. using pneumatic force (10 points) 
    7. Other points:
      1. not touching after machine is initiated on first attempt: 25 points
      2. machine runs on first start: 25 points
      3. machine takes 30 seconds (+/- 5 s): 40 points
